Our sejour in Central Africa was cut short in early January 1984, when we were ordered to Tchad as a reinforcement for "Operation Manta". It would have been nice to have had the time to explore this country a little further, but duty called elsewhere. I did stay in Central Africa long enough to leave with one regrettable souvenir of my visit - Malaria. |
