| Created in 1947, and after almost 60 years in print, the Legion's official magazine "Kepi Blanc" now has it's own website. This very interesting, informative, and nicely presented site features "Kepi Blanc" magazine covers from each month and year since it's inception. Other topics such as Legion history, the Legion museum at Aubagne ( 1 R.E.), the Battle Of Camerone, and the magazine's own history are included, as well as subscription information and links to other Legion sites. At this time there is only a French version available, but under construction are English, German, and Spanish versions as well. Definitely worth a visit for anyone wanting to find out more about life inside the Foreign Legion.

| This is the offical site, sanctioned and endorsed by the Dien Bien Phu Veteran's Association, commemorating the keystone battle of Dien Bien Phu, French Indochina (Vietnam), which started on May 7, 1954 and lasted for 170 days. The site explores the heroic and tragic circumstances surrounding the battle and eventual defeat of the French Garrison, which lead directly to the French withdrawal from Vietnam, and precipitated the American involvement in Vietnam for the next 20 years. This is also the story of the courage and devotion to duty exemplified by the individual soldiers on both sides of the battle, and especially that of the Legionnaires involved in the defense of Dien Bien Phu, who made up 70% of the total French force of 12,000. This is by far one of the best websites you will ever find, dealing with any war, from any period in history. There are English, French, German, and Spanish versions of the text available on the site. An outstanding piece of historical research.
